A36 is a carbon structural steel whose chemical composition and mechanical properties strictly comply with American ASTM standards. A36 steel bars consist mainly of iron, carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulphur and other elements.\u00a0Iron accounts for more than 99% of the total chemical composition. Its carbon content is relatively high, at around 0.2%, ensuring that the steel possesses a certain degree of hardness and toughness. The addition of silicon, manganese and other elements enhances the strength and toughness of the steel. The phosphorus and sulphur content is low, ensuring that the steel bar exhibits good weldability and corrosion resistance.\u00a0A36 steel bars are used in welded, bolted or riveted constructions for bridges and buildings, as well as for general structural purposes. Owing to its low yield strength, A36 can be used to design lighter-weight structures and equipment, whilst offering good weldability.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
