S235JR steel plates are steel grades defined by the European standards DIN EN 10130, 10209 and DIN 1623, which specify cold-rolled steel. These grades are classified according to their maximum permissible yield strength.
Carbon Steel: Properties, Production, Examples and Applications Carbon steel is an iron-carbon alloy containing up to 2.1 wt.% carbon. For carbon steels, there is no minimum specified content of other alloying elements; however, they often contain manganese. The maximum content of manganese, silicon and copper should be less than 1.65 wt.%, 0.6 wt.% and 0.6 wt.%, respectively.
| S235JR steel plates have high tensile strength and elongation, giving them good processing properties during the manufacturing process and making them easy to bend, stamp, form and weld. This makes DC steel plates widely used in the manufacture of automotive components, domestic appliances, construction materials and other parts that require high strength and precision. The low carbon content of DC steel plates gives them excellent weldability and machinability. They can be processed using various welding and cutting techniques, such as arc welding, gas-shielded welding and laser cutting, to meet the material processing requirements of different sectors.
