Stainless steel bars are manufactured from stainless steel ingots, either by hot rolling or forging. They possess good corrosion resistance, high strength, resistance to high temperatures and high pressures, radiation resistance, and low-temperature resistance, amongst other properties. The applications of stainless steel bars are becoming increasingly widespread, including the foundations of high-rise buildings in cold regions, crash barriers alongside motorways, and household goods, amongst others.
Steel is an alloy of iron and carbon. Stainless steels are steels containing at least 10.5% chromium, less than 1.2% carbon and other alloying elements. The corrosion resistance and mechanical properties of stainless steel can be further enhanced by adding other elements, such as nickel, molybdenum, titanium, niobium and manganese.
